Web-Based Search Engine for Literary Magazines

Unbelievably, it's free.

From the site:

"Welcome to Duotrope's Digest, a database of over 900 current markets for short fiction and poetry. Use this page to search for fiction markets that may make a fine home for that short story or poem you just finished. Use the menus at the top and right to explore the rest of the free services we offer writers and editors, including a free online submissions tracker for registered users."

Top Poetry Scam

"The International Library of Poetry" (AKA "National Library of Poetry") is a publishing scam so wildly profitable and disreputable that it was featured on 20/20. Apparently, there is almost no poem so bad they won't put it in their anthology as a "semi-finalist" in their annual contest.

Workshop introduces new Reject Award

Members have been announcing a lot of exciting acceptances lately. But here at the DFW Writers Workshop, we celebrate members' rejections almost as enthusiastically as we celebrate their acceptances. This is because a rejection means you're submitting your work, and that's what you have to do to get published. Now we're honoring each month's biggest reject with the Reject Award.
