Workshop Update
News, events and resources
The group has had a lot of success lately! And the latest example: Candace Havens has posted the cover of her next book on her web site. It's Charmed and Ready, the sequel to Charmed and Dangerous. It comes out Sept. 5. Congratulations, Candy!
Bloggers wanted
The new blog seems to be going pretty well. Thanks to the contributors for posting news, events and information about writing resources here. If any other Workshop members would like to contribute to the blog, please get in touch with me.
Know any good quotes about writing?
We're always looking for more notable quotes to put into the random rotation in the upper right corner of this web site. If any members have some, please submit them by posting to the Yahoo group. The only requirement is that they be real and be about the craft of writing in some way.

Scott McFadden alerted me to this link last night at the Workshop: it's a blog by an apparently knowledgeable editor who re-writes your fiction query for you. Unfortunately he also rips you up in the process; however, even those who are too faint at heart to undergo the blue ink of Evil Editor's pen can learn something by seeing the treatment he gives to others not so shy. As Evil Editor [EE] himself writes: You may not submit a query for a private critique. You must be willing to be humiliated (or praised) in a public forum. The lessons to be learned from having your query critiqued are probably available in the critiques of other authors' queries, however, so if you don't have the guts to submit, read the archives.
Thought you might like to see the cover art for Workshop member A. Lee Martinez' next book, In the Company of Ogres, coming out in August from Tor Books. Congrats, Alex!
